The Plastic Unit, by Carol Bove

The Plastic Unit is the first exhibition of Carol Bove in the gallery David Zwirner and presents large-scale sculptures made from natural and industrial materials, placed in careful relation both to one another and to the gallery space, with four works assigned to each room.

For this show, the New York-based artist presents four groupings, each comprising four sculptures, which impact on the viewers spatial experience, alter display techniques employed within galleries and confront perception.

An expansive steel net, a steel I-beam column supporting a human-sized piece of petrified wood,  a white, tubular glyph or large steel structures are one of the sculptures what you will be able to see in each floor of the gallery.

About Astrid Jacomme
