SHOWstudio presents an exhibition of the fashion photographer Nick Knight’s fine art prints, in collaboration with the fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Shown together for the first time, this selection of Nick Knight’s elaborate and fantastical photographs, printed in a monumental scale, translate McQueen’s vision of fashion’s malleability.
From his portrait of model Devon Aoki transformed into a cyborg geisha for the cover of Visionaire 20 (1997) to the Dazed & Confused editorial that included disabled models, Knight deciphered McQueen’s challenge of our prescribed aesthetics, into glorious realities.
The images featured in this exhibition are some of the most elaborate and technically engineered of the pair’s generation.
