The MoMA of New York presents a retrospective of the multifaceted work of the famous composer, musician and singer Björk.
Memorable for her sound, visuals and costumes, Björk always differentiated herself from the others by innovative projects, materialized today in eight full-length albums.
If you want to listen to Biophilia (2011) another time, just go in the Museum lobby, where a gameleste, pipe organ, gravity harp, and Tesla coil play songs from the album at different points throughout the day. In the Marron Atrium, one space is dedicated to a new sound and video installation for “Black Lake” from Björk’s new album Vulnicura (2015). A second space is a cinema room that screens a retrospective in music videos, from Debut (1993) to Biophilia. To finish, you will find on the third floor, of the museum an interactive audio experience through Björk’s albums, along with many visuals, objects, and costumes, including the robots designed by Chris Cunningham for the “All Is Full of Love” music video.
If you are fan of Björk (and either if you are not), you can’t miss this exhibition.
