Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) was one of the most important photographers of our century. Cartier-Bresson is the photographer of the “decisive moment” which always catched with his famous Leica camera.
Known for the perfect composition of his photographs and the poetry of his clichés, Cartier-Bresson is considered to be the father of photojournalism and develop that now we all know as street photography.
The exhibition presented in Beetles+Huxley in London is centred around a private collection of prints, curated according to the particular tastes and interests of the collector. Their is a lot of images of Paris, the USSR and portraits of celebrities such as Albert Camus, Coco Chanel o Pablo Picasso.
“Henri Cartier-Bresson: A Decisive Collection” will be presented in association with Leica, who will present in the gallery some vintage cameras similar to ones used by Cartier-Bresson.
