Somewhere Underneath, by Ham Jin

The London HADA Contemporary presents the first solo exhibition by Ham Jin in UK.

Known for his dark and minuscule sculptures, which often incorporated banal objects transforming them into subjects of his wild creativity, the artist will show new works , clearly focused on abstraction.

Since 1998, Ham has been creating sculptures using unusual objects such as hair and dust to construct curious Lilliput worlds. More recently, he has developed his practice further towards the notable direction of abstraction investigating different artistic mediums as painting and drawing.

Marked by chaotic immediacy and spontaneity, his works are the collection of the artist’s impromptus stream of thoughts and imagination generously encouraged by their materiality – the instantaneous malleable flexibility.
