Klangarchitektur, by Zimoun

Zimoun’s organic installations and sound sculptures are the result of mechanics, movement and sounds. They are delicate works with a poetic playfulness, simultaneously simple and complex, results of repetition and fine anomalies.

The work is based on 150 prepared dc-motors, 270Kg of wood and 210m string wire. The wooden laths are set in motion through a simple mechanical system and although the whole elements are based on the same system and materials, each has its own behavior and sound.

When: until July 26th

Where: Klangraum – 3500 Krems an der Donau, Austria
