Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao‘s New York: Assembled Realities features more than 40 works by this Taiwanese artist, who came to New York at 18 to study photography.
Getting further than the traditional documentary photography, Liao creates large-scale panoramas by combining multiple exposures of the same location taken over the course of several hours. The resulting composite photographs are often fantastical, complex and hyper-real views that no single shot—or the eye—could capture.
Liao presents a serie of panoramas from New York, his adoptive city.
