Moniker Art Fair comes back for its fifth year, and established itself as a important event for contemporary art and urban culture, head to head with the famous Frieze Art Fair.
The Moniker Art Fair returns to The Old Truman Brewery, sharing the venue with The Other Art Fair. Unofficially specialized in street and graffiti artists, this year the fair will bring works by Shepard Fairey (famous for the Obama ‘Hope’ poster), London’s Dean Stockton aka D*Face (known for his use of stickers and paper) and electrical tape artist Benjamin Murphy, to the Capital.
As well as the main art fair, “Moniker Projects” commissions a series of off site projects which this year include the immersive exhibition “Aqua Regalia” by contemporary artist Faith47 which can be seen in nearby Dray Walk, 91 Brick Lane.
The Old Truman Brewery, East London’s primary destination for creative events, is a hub of galleries, markets, independent shops, bars, restaurants and innovative businesses. The fair will take place on 17–20 October 2013.
