Dairy Art Centre presents the largest exhibition in the UK to date by Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, one of the most famous contemporary artist of his generation.
The exhibition “Greetings from a Place in My Heart” includes painting, sculpture, and a unique retrospective of Nara’s drawings spanning 30 years.
Nara is known for his paintings of wide-eyed children and animals with big heads and provocative expressions, isolated against pastel-coloured backdrops. Exploring the psychological universe of childhood experience, Nara’s world deals with the make-believe of infantile imagination, adult anxiety, and rebellion.
In this exhibition you will be able to note an important change in the artist method, using a softer and brighter colour palette.
The exhibition will be shown until December 7th, before touring to Arken Museum of Modern Art in Denmark.
